Effect of innovation on the performance of the Supply chain : Case of the automotive sector in Morocco

The objective of this paper is to study the potential role of innovativeness in improving the SC performance of automotive distributors in Morocco. To do so, we collected data from 127 automotive distribution companies in Morocco. The respondents were owners of these companies, logistics buyers, CEOs and IT managers.
The results indicate that innovativeness has a positive influence on SC performance. They suggest that companies should strive to achieve innovativeness, as it promotes SC performance. Automotive distributors in Morocco can use innovativeness as an important tool to improve SC performance.
