Le sport apparaît comme un levier stratégique du développement social, éducatif et territorial. Dans ce cadre, le football occupe une position centrale en contribuant de manière significative à la structuration et à l’animation des dynamiques locales au Maroc. L’Académie Mohammed VI de football, créée sous l’impulsion royale, contribue à l’émergence d’une intelligence territoriale sportive permettant de suivre l’évolution des talents, d’optimiser les infrastructures et de renforcer le rayonnement régional et national.

Les résultats enregistrés, notamment en matière de formation de joueurs de niveau international et de consolidation de l’équipe nationale, témoignent de l’impact substantiel de l’Académie sur le développement du football marocain ainsi que sur les dynamiques de développement territorial par le sport. À ce titre, l’Académie s’impose comme un modèle d’infrastructure sportive moderne et comme un instrument stratégique de planification, de gouvernance et d’inclusion sociale des jeunes dans le contexte marocain.

L’organisation de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations 2025 au Maroc constitue une plateforme originelle pour analyser l’impact de cette politique de formation sur un événement continental majeur. La CAN 2025 ne se limite pas à une compétition sportive : elle représente un enjeu stratégique en termes d’image, de gouvernance sportive, d’infrastructures et de diplomatie sportive. Summary

Sport emerges as a strategic lever for social, educational, and territorial development. In this context, football occupies a central position by significantly contributing to the structuring and stimulation of local dynamics in Morocco. The Mohammed VI Football Academy, established under royal initiative, fosters the emergence of territorial sports intelligence, enabling the monitoring of talent development, the optimization of infrastructure, and the strengthening of regional and national influence.

The results achieved—particularly in training international-level players and consolidating the national team—demonstrate the Academy’s substantial impact on the development of Moroccan football as well as on territorial development dynamics through sport. As such, the Academy stands as a model of modern sports infrastructure and as a strategic instrument for planning, governance, and youth social inclusion within the Moroccan context.

The organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco provided a valuable platform to assess the impact of this training policy on a major continental event. CAN 2025 was not merely a sporting competition; it represented a strategic challenge in terms of image, sports governance, infrastructure, and sports diplomacy. In this regard, the Mohammed VI Football Academy functioned as a structuring lever, both through the contribution of its players to the national teams and through its indirect role in promoting the Moroccan football development model to the Confederation of African Football and African federations.

The Mohammed VI Football Academy represents a strategic model in which sport serves as a lever for territorial development, social cohesion, and international outreach. In light of the now-concluded CAN 2025, it confirms that sports training has become a central pillar of national sports governance and a lasting vector of Morocco’s regional influence.
