L’éclatement contemporain de l’intellectualité opératoire des Africains et le positionnement non cohérent ou ambigu de la pensée intellectuelle d’une partie majoritaire des Africains semblent préjudiciablement inconséquents, eu égard à la nature arbitraire du rapport biaisé et violent du monde à l’Afrique ainsi qu’au statut périphérique, précaire et marginal dont l’Afrique est aujourd’hui le produit. Cette désarticulation dichotomique de la pensée intellectuelle la plus influente des Africains participe des contradictions radicales que l’histoire a infligées à l’Afrique et apparait comme une authentique dissociation, autant qu’une réelle trahison. La réflexion sur la stupéfiante dispersion de l’intellectualité opératoire en Afrique propose une explication efficace de la production intellectuelle africaine dissociative en tant que mécanique de production de la trahison, en éclairant le processus structural systémique ayant abouti à la production permanente d’une intellectualité non-cohérente, sous la forme et au modèle d’une mécanique d’empoisonnement.

Abstract

The contemporary fragmentation of Africa’s operative intellectuality, along with the incoherent or ambiguous positioning of a majority segment of African intellectual thought, appears gravely detrimental when considered against the arbitrary, biased, and often violent nature of the global order’s relationship with Africa, as well as the continent’s present peripheral, precarious, and marginalized status. This dichotomous disarticulation of the most influential currents of African intellectual thought forms part of the radical contradictions that history has imposed upon Africa and manifests itself as both a profound dissociation and a genuine betrayal. A critical reflection on the striking dispersion of operative intellectuality in Africa offers a compelling explanation of dissociative African intellectual production as a mechanism generating betrayal. It sheds light on the structural and systemic processes that have led to the sustained reproduction of a non-coherent intellectuality, operating in the form –and according to the logic –of a veritable mechanism of intellectual poisoning.
