The impact of the quality of services on the satisfaction of foreign students in private medical schools in Morocco

Abstract

In a competitive environment marked by the internationalization of the higher education sector, student satisfaction is a subject that generates several debates, so many researchers have taken an interest in the subject. Our research study the impact of SERVQUAL elements on the satisfaction of foreign students in private medical schools in Morocco. The interest in placing the notion of quality at the center of our research is not based on a random choice, but refers to several factors, in particular the main orientations of the Bologna cycle and the conclusions of UNESCO which place the student at the center of the quality approach in the higher education sector. Following a literature review related to the impact of the quality of services (according to the SERVQUAL model) on student satisfaction, a survey conducted among students in higher education institutions enrolled in medicine in the UIASS and UM6SS , our research has allowed to test a number of hypotheses. We selected a convenience sample of 130 students who responded to our questionnaire. The results of our study based on a quantitative study following the post-positivist current, we concluded that the dimensions "Tangible elements", "Reliability", "Responsiveness", "Assurance" impact the satisfaction of students in Moroccan higher education institutions . Finally, our research  has shown that the quality of services of higher education institutions impacts the satisfaction of international students in the context of Moroccan private higher education.
