Very few empirical studies have analyzed the use value, or even the degree of adoption, of information systems in the education sector. This study, which takes Morocco as a framework, explores the main determinants that influence the adoption of the Massar information system, used for the pedagogical management of schools. It is therefore appropriate to question the nature of these factors. To answer the following question: What are the key factors for the adoption of the Massar information system by users in schools in Morocco? And in accordance with a classic research structure, we first presented an in-depth literature review, followed by an exploratory field study qualitatively exploiting open and semi-structured interviews with a total of nineteen interviews with professionals belonging to the different levels of the hierarchy of our context of study (Ministry, AREF and school) to finally arrive at a conceptual model. Then, we deepened our quantitative analysis based on a final sample of 243 individuals to measure the degree of influence of each determinant on the adoption of the Massar information system. Finally, the research ends by highlighting the main results and implications of our modeling of the adoption of information systems in the empirical context of schools in Morocco.
