Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the conditions under which artificial intelligence (AI) can be perceived as a cognitive support capable of mitigating certain behavioral biases in financial decision-making. Based on a quantitative survey of 198 respondents, the study investigates the perception of emotional biases, the perceived corrective capacity of AI, the conditions underlying its acceptance, and the degree of decision delegation. The results show that 94.9% of respondents acknowledge an emotional influence on their financial decisions, while 66.2% believe that AI can improve their choices. However, this openness remains conditional: 85.9% would accept an AI recommendation, whereas 14.1% wish to retain the final decision.

Reliability, explainability, and security emerge as the main conditions underlying trust. The use of intelligent tools is significantly associated with a more favorable perception of AI (χ² = 25.495; p = 0.002; V = 0.207). The study thus highlights a logic of conditional trust and functional delegation under human oversight, grounded in a conception of financial decision-making as augmented rationality.

Keywords: Artificial intelligence, behavioral biases, conditional trust, augmented rationality, functional delegation.
