This paper is part of an essay in international economics. The main goal is to study the impact of customs economic regimes on the foreign establishment of companies. The objective is to detect the effective contribution of customs regimes, in some of its forms, to the implementation choices of multinational companies specializing in the automotive industry based in Morocco. Starting from a post-positivist paradigm, the research focuses on a theoretical overview describing the frame of reference allowing to draw up a hypothetical model tested through a mixed approach. A qualitative study with field experts and a quantitative study with a sample of automotive industries based in Morocco. Basically we are trying to answer the following question: To what extent economic customs regimes contribute to the implementation of foreign automotive industries in Morocco? The results of the research converge towards the existence of a close link between economic customs regimes and the choice of a foreign implementation strategy. So we can affirm that automotive industries, of foreign origin, are also tempted by recent developments in Morocco.
