Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak continues to disrupt many industries. The automotive industry, one of the pillars of the economy, is facing shocks at all levels of its industrial chain. OEMs suffered huge fixed cost losses due to work stoppages. Also, the risk of failure of spare parts companies has increased due to cases of force majeure. This situation has caused a sharp deterioration in the labor market, absorbed in many countries and particularly in Morocco by measures of partial unemployment or suspension of work.

In this article, we develop crisis management strategies to help companies in the automotive industry quickly resume production without problems, and also to seize opportunities to plan for the future.
